Liposomal C

Everyday vitamin C support. Thoughtfully delivered.

Support your immune system, collagen formation and antioxidant defences with NutriStart Liposomal C. This orange-flavoured liquid provides 1,000 mg of vitamin C as sodium ascorbate in a liposomal formula—a convenient alternative to tablets and capsules.

Essential support, every day.

Your body relies on vitamin C for more than seasonal immune support. It helps maintain healthy connective tissue, supports wound healing and protects cells against oxidative damage. Because your body cannot make vitamin C, a regular supply from food or supplements matters.

What vitamin C does for you:

  • Supports immune function: Helps your immune system work properly.
  • Helps build collagen: Supports the formation of the protein that gives structure to skin, cartilage, gums and other connective tissues.
  • Provides antioxidant protection: Helps protect cells from damage caused by free radicals.
  • Supports wound healing: Contributes to your body’s normal tissue repair processes.
  • Helps with iron absorption: Improves the absorption of iron from plant-based foods.

What makes it liposomal?

Liposomal delivery uses tiny structures made from phospholipids—the same broad class of fats found in cell membranes—to carry nutrients.

NutriStart Liposomal C combines vitamin C with a formula containing sunflower oil and lecithin. This brings liposomal delivery into an easy-to-take liquid with orange flavour.

Why sodium ascorbate?

Sodium ascorbate is a buffered, less acidic form of vitamin C than ascorbic acid. It supplies the same essential vitamin C your body needs, making it an option for people who prefer a less acidic source.

A simple addition to your routine.

Ingredients
  • Vitamin C (as sodium ascorbate): 1,000 mg per serving
  • Non-medicinal ingredients
  • Sunflower oil, lecithin, glycerin, orange flavour, potassium sorbate.
Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between sodium ascorbate and ascorbic acid?

Both supply vitamin C. Sodium ascorbate is a buffered form that is less acidic than ascorbic acid.

Is this just for cold and flu season?

Vitamin C supports your body throughout the year. Its roles include normal immune function, collagen formation and antioxidant protection.

Does it contain orange juice?

Orange flavour is included in the formula. The vitamin C comes from sodium ascorbate.

How should I take it?

Follow the recommended dose and directions on the product label, including storage instructions.

What does liposomal mean?

Daily support starts with the essentials. Choose NutriStart Liposomal C.

Liposomal technology was pioneered for pharmaceutical drugs, and the improved therapeutic value and greatly increased delivery of liposome-encapsulated drugs and nutrients has been consistently validated scientifically. Until recently, liposomes were used exclusively by the drug industry, but now liposomes are beginning to be used for the specific oral delivery of certain dietary and nutritional supplements.

Currently, liposomes are believed to be the most bioavailable oral way to deliver nutrients to the body, being especially effective for herbs and nutrients that are poorly absorbed, and/or easily damaged by the digestive system.

Making a liposome starts with liquid micro particles of the material one wishes to use (in this case vitamin C) which are then inserted into phosphatidylcholine, which is a fat-soluble medium. This essentially creates micro-bubbles (just a few millionths of an inch in diameter), which are capable of entering through the gut lining without being digested, or damaged by harsh stomach acids.

These bubbles then travel through the bloodstream and are absorbed as needed by various cells in the body. Because liposomes are made of material similar to what cells are made of (phosphatidylcholine is a phospholipid, which is a component of all cell membranes), the nutrients that they carry are easily delivered directly into the cell.

Creating liposomes is an expensive and time consuming process, which is why such products cost more than simple encapsulated drugs or nutrients, and why few companies produce liposomal products. NutriStart’s Liposomal Vitamin C product is manufactured by a lab that specializes in liposomal products, using their proprietary Cold Structure TechnologyTM. This means that the product was never exposed to high temperatures or pressure, which could damage delicate nutrients.
