While lycopene is commonly used as a supplement to protect the prostate gland, the FDA has determined that lycopene in isolation does not have the benefits that it does when in its whole natural state. The FDA concluded, “There was no credible evidence to support an association between lycopene intake and a reduced risk of prostate, and other cancers”. Unlike isolated or synthesized lycopene, the LOM™ product contains a naturally extracted family of carotenoids, complex in structure, resembling whole foods. What is the best time to take Natural Flow?

LOM™ is an oil-based product and is most efficiently absorbed following a meal that contains some fat. Unfortunately a meal high in fibre can steal some of the nutrients from this formula so it is recommended that the capsules be taken after lunch and/or dinner, since people usually have more fibre with breakfast (cereals and oats). If all meals are high fibre then take the product 2 hours after eating.

How does LOM™ affect BPH?

These Multi-Carotenoids are clinically proven to prevent and treat BPH, working even when saw palmetto supplements have failed. Furthermore, in an American clinical trial on prostate cancer patients, after 3 weeks of supplementing with LOM™ Multi-Carotenoids (30mg/day), before prostatectomy, PSA levels in the supplementation group decreased by 18%, while in the placebo group they increased by 14%. The only other natural substance that can lower PSA levels is an uncommon specific rye pollen extract.

How does LOM™ affect cholesterol levels?

Multi-Carotenoids have been shown to effectively treat high cholesterol levels. A 2007 animal study concluded that LOM™ increased HDL (“good” cholesterol) levels by 28.6%. It also dramatically reduced total cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL (“bad” cholesterol) levels. As well, LOM™ Multi-Carotenoids have proven to produce a powerful antioxidant effect, effectively raising blood levels of SOD (Superoxide Dismutase), CAT (Catalase) and GSH (Glutathione Peroxidase).

How does LOM affect urinary incontinence?

Other clinically proven benefits of LOM™ include treating hypertension and urinary incontinence. A clinical study of hypertension patients concluded that after 8 weeks of supplementation with this product both systolic and diastolic blood pressure decreased appreciably. Feedback from gynaecologists showed immediate response from women who experienced urinary incontinence or frequent urination, especially at night, due to the prolapse of bladder and uterus. In vitro studies suggest that LOM may inhibit cancer cell proliferation.
